The City of Hood River Planning Commission will discuss the process for refining and implementing the concept plan during a work session on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Public input is encouraged. Planning Commission agendas are posted on the City of Hood River's website, here:
Learn about the Westside Area Concept Plan alternatives and working recommendations at the open house at the Westside Elementary School cafeteria on Thursday, March 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A presentation will be made at 7:15 p.m. but attendees may arrive at any time during the open house.
Visitors may drop in at any time. A short presentation will be given at 6:45 PM. Children are welcome to attend, and coloring or other activities will be provided. An on-line survey, as well as all Open House materials, will be available on the project website at www.hrwestsideplan.com
The plan will create a vision for the growth and livability of the 450-acre Westside area, located between Rand Street and Frankton Street. The plan will address land use, affordable housing, streets, bike ways, pedestrian paths, parks, schools, utilities, and infrastructure funding.
